“Republicans originally thought that Fox worked for us and now we’re discovering we work for Fox. And this balance here has been completely reversed. The thing that sustains a strong Fox network is the thing that undermines a strong Republican party.” David Frum, former speech writer for Bush (43) |

OgdruJahad Got to love the Bible? Is Fox News destroying the Republican Party?
Merchandise Candidates Blogs Left / Right Say What? You Lie! Irreconcilable logic Players Mormons are people too Occupy Fox News About
Fox News, a comfort zone for Republicans The candidates for the Republican Party spend more time on Fox News than anywhere else. Fox News has given them a comfort zone for them to reach their base. But what does this mean? Are they really trying to only appeal to those American that they themselves approve of. Do they, like most Foxrepublicans, believe that this is a way to the perfect America made up of "perfect" Americans?
Donald Trump If the Republican lineup did really have a clown car, the Donald would be driving it...right off a cliff. No person has shown a more unpatriotic view of our political system than Trump. Using the presidential primary and the Republican Party for a block buster publicity tour without shame. No doubt he will continue to abuse the system as long as he can, damage to the political process be damned. A fine American that one is!
Jon Huntsman Jon was to be stuck in China via a one-way ticket thanks to President Obama but it didn't take. Instead he decided personal gain was more important than Ambassador to our biggest trading partner where he would have done the country good. One of two Mormons in the race, he bombed out after placing all of his cards on New Hampshire.
Mitch Daniels Test balloons are going up to see if he can save the Republican ticket on 2012. He gave a gloom and doom response to the State of the Union and is popping up all over the place now. He's in the bull pen warming up, we'll see if he's needed.
Michele Bachmann Unlike the witch from Delaware, Michele eyes really let you know no one's home. She was perhaps the only person that didn't understand that she never had a chance in the male dominated party. In her case it was for the best, not sure how it would had played out if her husbands secret had come out.
Herman Cain Herman is that guy every Republican can point to and say, see we like a black guy. The fact of the matter is that since 1961 Republicans voters have only elected 5 (4 House of Representatives and 1 Senator) black Americans to national office in 13 races. The fact is that except in very unusually elections Republicans simply don't elect Black people.
Rick Santorum Points for Ricky boy for his honesty regardless on how unpopular his message is. Big government, pork, anti-American, forced pregnancies, yet he kept thinking everyone in America was of the same sick mindset that him and his advisors. Once again the process worked and after being pushed under the bus, it backed up and did it again. It' hard to understand when someone convince themselves that it's ok to hate a select group of Americans and yet still thinks that it qualifies them to be president.
Rick Perry It's says a lot about Texan's voter that Rick Perry is on his 3rd term. A real cowboy that one is. Brought in as a Hail Mary pass when the field was without merit, he did an immediate high dive right into the sewer. Painful to watch, he actually made Romney look "better". Much like his debate performance he is the oops that makes the 2012 field so troubling.
Newt Gingrich Funny, witty, and consider by many a con man. His late entry into the race shows how weak a field can really be and how he know a good sucker race when he see one. Carl Rove once said he didn't think the American people were stupid and you have to wonder if he counts the people that vote for Newt.
Ron Paul Two things you can say about Ron Paul. One he never switches a position and his followers are loyal. It's a shame that you can't take his good ideas and jettison the bizarre ideas he has on foreign affairs. He's too conservative on some issues and not conservative on others, making him more of a negative than a positive for the GOP to deal with. As a message candidate he just might go for that 3rd party run even if it locks in Obama.
Mitt Romney Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line. Never before in presidential history will that statement be tested. With a president that the Republican have been sayings since his inauguration could easily be beat, this is what the Republican are setting for. The real damage is that Mitt just doesn't understand why everyone keeps asking him about Romneycare. And everyone thought the tough part would be explaining that Mormon's aren't a cult. He is the least dirty shirt of the bunch.
